Happy Trails, San Francisco.

For generations you could rent a horse and ride the shady trails through Golden Gate Park. That ended years ago; the nearby stables are decrepit and decaying, with the center corral long gone. Last year, they brought the horses back for several weeks, and unsurprisingly they were quite popular. I'm not sure what the future of horses in GGP will be. The SF Mounted Police stables continue to be used, and are next door to the old public stables. (Scroll down for a pic of the police stables interior.)
