A wildly diverse annual gathering of car lovers in Golden Gate Park. And for once, the weather was diverse in the outer Avenues too: sunshine.

Nice to see a young person enjoying an old classic. This is a 1957 Ford Thunderbird.

Back when there was plenty of room in the backseat of a police car.

The one in the middle is a Plymouth Roadrunner. License plate reads "Acme Mfg":)

Never a shortage of Mustangs at a car show. This one looks set up to race...

When I was growing up in the Bay Area, the VW dunebuggy was a common sight.

Volkswagen row.

The original wheels on this classic Corvette would've been much smaller. I like the change.

That's some patina on this old Ford pickup.

Diversity reached new levels this year with an antique Oliver tractor.

The 1968-1970 Dodge Chargers get the love, but this one is from the early 1970's

This represents the radical fringe. There must be a hundred DOT violations here.

Metalflake and skulls.

Eye-catching candyapple red paint on this classic Camaro.

I believe this is a vintage Lincoln Continental. Not something you see every day.

Stickers are part of the car culture.

Great name: the "Eccentric Car Club." A couple late 1960's Mercury Cougars out front.

There was a noticeable increase in cars for sale. Aging owners? The shift to EVs?

This 1970-ish Ford Maverick is known as a "survivor" in collector lingo. It somehow survived 50+ years without being beat-up, cut-up, rusted out, or otherwise abused. It looks like it just rolled off the dealership floor. And yes, those whitewalls were once popular.

Can you say "getaway car?" If this OG could talk, it would probably just softly moan.
