I'm rooting for this new joint pilot program between the Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Fire Department. PILOT GOAL: Provide rapid, trauma-informed response to calls for service to people experiencing crisis in public spaces in order to reduce law enforcement encounters and unnecessary emergency room use. They are now providing 24/7 citywide coverage. Seen today on Mission and South Van Ness.
