The Federal Office Building (50 UN Plaza) occupies the entire block bounded by UN Plaza, Leavenworth, McAllister, and Hyde Streets. Back in 1934, while under construction, workers discovered it'd been a Pioneer-era cemetery dating to 1778. They discovered this by uncovering numerous remains, silver and gold coins clutched in their bony hands. The fare across the River Styx?
