"The Al Capone View" Of SF.

This was the view from an historic F-line streetcar I rode down Market Street this week. I don't know what's up with the metal grating, but it reminds me of the way they transported the inaugural group of Alcatraz prisoners in 1934, including Al Capone. They traveled cross country from Atlanta in secure train cars. Then they rolled right onto a tracked barge in Tiburon and were towed by tugboat to the landing at Alcatraz. See photo below.
