A potpouri of photos since my last R&R posting.


These lush real roses are inside a thick glass ball filled with water. A total impulse buy from the floral department of Ocean Beach Safeway. Now on display in my cubicle at work.


"Whatta ya wanna do?" "I don't know, whatta ya wanna do?" Three pelicans chillin' on the L-shaped pier in the Presido.

The old Cliff House is completely fenced off, with no sign it will reopen anytime soon.


A mom & pop operation has set up outside the window beside my cubicle. The delivery date for their offspring is mid-June.


Ocean Beach

Watching the comings and goings of San Francisco Bay.


This artwork is titled The Demonstration of the Parts and was created by American artist Charles Howard in 1948. I saw it as I wandered around SF MOMA after being told the new Matisse exhibit was sold out.


When I tell you my neighborhood is being gentrified, this is what I mean.


But the hood is also determined to hang onto a bit of its past as well.

For its 100 year anniversary, the Balboa Theater got a new coat of paint, and imaginative tile work featuring famous film scenes shot in San Francisco.
