Michelangelo knocked out his iconic frescoe painting of the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel in four years (1508-1512), working 18 hours a day. He spent most of that time not painting on his back, but standing and craning his head backward while applying his brushstrokes.
My neck was strained just looking up at the overhead panels for an hour.
The main appeal of "Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel" exhibit at St. Mary's is that you will enjoy a much closer, more detailed view of this masterpiece.

The exhibit was in a lower-level meeting space, behind the church.

The prophet Ezekiel.

"Welcome to the party, Eve."

That's Noah's vessel in the background. More houseboat than ark.

That's Jonah on the right. I'm not sure who swallowed whom by this depiction.

God creates the sun, the moon -- and mooning.

The prophet Jeremiah, The Weeping Prophet.

The Last Judgement. Winners and losers. You could spend all day absorbing the details.

I know what you did last summer. I know what you did every day.

"Last stop, basement level." A devil encourages passengers to disembark in Hell.

Regrets, I've had a few.
