The City has a sidewalk tree-planting program for home owners through Friends of the Urban Forest. The tree is provided at no cost, including concrete removal. Supposedly they even help down the line with any root damage to the sidewalk. How do you turn that down? (Today on 38th Avenue near Balboa.)
