Many of the battle fronts in the war against COVID-19 will be remembered for what WASN'T happening. This is the corner of La Playa and Cabrillo at Ocean Beach. This parking lot is the western terminus for Muni's popular #5 and #31 bus lines. Usually, it would be crammed with 60-foot-long articulated buses, AKA "Slinkies" in transit operator lingo. Because of the temporary elimination of these routes, it is eerily quiet.
