San Francisco's Latest Underground Scene.

Introducing the new Central Subway. They're calling it a subway, but the track and cars look a lot like the Muni Metro to me. It extends the T Third 1.7 miles through SoMa, Union Square and Chinatown. There are three underground stations, and one above ground between Brannan and Broderick. The tunnel is as deep as 120 feet in some places.

The subway features some extremely long escalators. Pray they don't break down.
